NHS Specialist Mental Health Service - Operation Courage

Op COURAGE is an NHS mental health specialist service designed to help serving personnel who are due to leave the military, reservists, armed forces veterans and their families.

If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health or wellbeing, expert help is available from Op COURAGE: The Veterans Mental health and Wellbeing Service

It doesn't matter if you’re due to leave the armed forces, just left the armed forces or left many years ago. Op COURAGE are here to help and understand the courage it takes to speak to someone.

 

Togetherall - Online mental health support in Hertfordshire

Hertfordshire County Council Public Health has launched Togetherall - a safe, anonymous, online community offering mental health support. It is accessible 24/7 with trained professionals available at all times for residents of Hertfordshire and free to members of the UK military (regular and reservists), veterans and family members aged 16+.  While Togetherall is open to everyone, members of the Armed Forces Community can join a dedicated “Military Community” group to connect with others who have served or are serving along with their families.

Veteran breakfast clubs in Hertfordshire

Breakfast clubs are completely free. The clubs are for veterans and current service personnel to meet up in a relaxed, safe, social environment. The primary aim and function of the clubs is to allow veterans to ‘return to the tribe’. For more information and to find a club near you visit the Armed Forces Breakfast Club website.

 

Armed Forces and Veterans Bikers Breakfast Club (AFVBBC) – Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire

This group was formed in March 2021 and welcomes those serving in the Armed Forces or Veterans from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and beyond.  The group will meet at various biker cafés for organised rides.  Please see the Facebook group for more information. Hatfield and Welwyn G.C. Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club

 This Club meets on the first Sunday of every month at 10am at Harpsfield Hall Wetherspoons in Hatfield. Further details available Hatfield AFVBC, By Veterans For Veterans.
