Career Transition Partnership

If you are in your final two years of service or were discharged within the last two years, the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) can offer support with finding employment and settling into work.

The CTP provides resettlement services for those leaving the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and Marines. Regardless of time served, all members of the Armed Forces can benefit from CTP support when leaving Service. They also operate as an intermediary service for employers wishing to hire Service leavers.

The Career Transition Partnership website gives career transition advice, training opportunities, a range of downloadable guides and allows you to search for available jobs.

The Career Transition Partnership assists all veterans to market themselves confidently to employers and succeed in the civilian job market.  Their Employer Engagement Team works to source appropriate vacancies for CTP RightJob whilst also promoting the many benefits of recruiting ex-military personnel to employers. The CTP offers employment events throughout the year, along with a number of tools and resources to help you find the rewarding second career you're looking for.

Step2Skills

Step2Skills Adult learning and employment support, formerly known as Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service (HAFLS), runs a wide range of quality and approved courses for adults aged 19+, aimed to help improve people’s lives.  Funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency and European Social Fund , they deliver community learning courses for adults, young people and families across Hertfordshire.  Courses are primarily low-cost in order to help improve the skills and wellbeing of people living in Hertfordshire.
