This November, The Muster Point CIC brought the community together in Stevenage for a series of poignant Remembrance events honoring those who served.
A highlight was the three-day Guard of Honour (6–9 November), where veterans, Sea Cadets, and Royal Marine Cadets maintained a continuous vigil at the War Memorial ahead of the town’s Remembrance Parade. The solemn tribute underscored the enduring respect for the fallen.
Beyond ceremonial duties, The Muster Point continues to strengthen community bonds through weekly veteran meet-ups at Fairlands Valley Lakes, offering peer support and a safe space for connection.
The Remembrance Ball added a celebratory note, drawing 142 guests and raising over £5,000 to fund vital veteran support services.
A recent case study showcased the power of collaboration, where multi-agency efforts rapidly addressed a veteran’s mental health, housing, and addiction challenges—demonstrating the Armed Forces Covenant in action.
